Three courses, one published price each, and a credential track for people who intend to carry provider clients of their own. Everything is taught against the federal payer programs the work actually runs on: VA Community Care, TRICARE and CHAMPVA.
Courses are open to everyone. Nothing here is restricted to veterans or service members.

Federal Payer Operations
one-time · 50 clock hours · CFPO examination included
The full course, and the track most working members take. It ends in the CFPO examination, which is the qualifying outcome — not the completion certificate.

Coding Academy
one-time · AAPC fees are separate
For members going toward a coding credential. The qualifying outcome is the external examination credential, not our certificate of completion.

One price for everyone. The price shown is the published price for every student. There are no discounts, scholarships, cohort rates or promotional pricing of any kind.
No employment or income promise. Completing a course or earning the credential does not guarantee engagement, client volume or earnings.
Which one to take
The CFPO credential
CFPO — Certified in Federal Payer Operations — is the credential and the examination taken at the end of the Federal Payer Operations course. It is what a provider sees on your directory listing.
Paying for it
We describe a funding source as approved only where approval is actually in hand. Where an application is in review, we will say it is in review — and until it is decided, assume the course is self-funded.
Army Credentialing Assistance
Up to $2,000 per fiscal year
The program covers one credential per fiscal year, within a combined tuition-and-credentialing ceiling of $4,500. Commissioned officers have been ineligible since 19 March 2026.
Credentialing Assistance pays against a listed vendor and a listed credential. Check the current Army listing before you count on it, and confirm eligibility with your education center rather than with us.

Where an application for another funding program is in review, we will say it is in review. We do not list a program as approved, eligible or covered before that is true, and we do not adjust a price to fit one.
AAPC examination and membership fees sit outside all of this. They are separate from the Coding Academy price and are paid by you, directly to AAPC.
Questions about the Academy
Is the certificate a license?
No. A certificate of completion is a record that you completed the course. It is not a license, not a government certification, and not accredited continuing education. Where a course leads to an external credential, that external credential is the qualifying outcome.
Are there discounts, scholarships or codes?
None, for anyone, at any time. One published price per course is a standing rule rather than a current promotion, and it is the reason we can state a price on a public page and have it mean something.
How long does a course take?
Federal Payer Operations is 50 clock hours — 40 instructional and 10 assessment. How fast you move through that is up to you; it is built to be worked around a job or a duty schedule.
Do I have to take the CFPO examination?
It is included in the Federal Payer Operations price and is the point of that track. You can complete the coursework without sitting it, but the credential is what a provider sees on your listing.
Will this get me a job?
We make no such promise. The course teaches the work and the credential evidences it; a provider still has to read your listing and choose you. Anyone in this field promising placement or income should be asked to put it in writing.
