The directory is where the two sides of DutyPath find each other. Practices browse screened support professionals; support professionals are found by the practices that need them. There is no matching engine in the middle, and nobody pays to appear higher up.

Every listing is a professional record: who the person is, what they are qualified to do, what has been verified, and what the people who have worked with them reported afterwards.

What a record shows

The two sides carry different fields, because a practice and a support professional are found for different reasons. Within each side, every record shows the same fields in the same order.

Direct care provider

IdentityName, professional title and the practice they work in.
QualificationCredentials and licences, with the state and board each one sits under.
ScopeSpecialty and the services the practice actually accepts referrals for.
LocationWhere the practice is, and which states it is licensed in.
StatusWhether the record is verified, and the date it was last checked.
In their wordsProfessional biography, photograph and introductory video, plus website and LinkedIn.
ExperienceVeteran Experience ratings, described below.

Direct care support professional

SubspecialtyWhich of the eight subspecialties they work in, and the documented roles inside it.
QualificationEducation, certifications and any DutyPath certificate of completion held.
ProgramsWhich federal payer programs they have worked against: VA Community Care, TRICARE, CHAMPVA.
CapacityStates covered and whether they are currently taking new provider clients.
StatusScreening status, and the date it was last confirmed.
BackgroundRésumé and LinkedIn.

Personal identifying detail is treated differently on the two sides. A provider record is a public professional listing and carries a name and a photograph. A support professional's listing does not, and those fields are not returned by the public query at all — not hidden in the page, not fetched. What the directory will not do

Most directories in this space make money from the order of the results. This one does not, and the constraints are built into the product rather than promised in a policy.

No rankingResults are not scored, ordered by quality, or sorted by anything DutyPath decides. You filter, and you read.
No paid placementThere is no featured tier, no sponsored slot and no promoted listing. Nobody can buy a position anywhere in the results.
No matching engineNobody is assigned to you. There is no algorithm choosing on your behalf and no account manager making an introduction.
No messagingThere is a contact button and nothing else. Conversations happen off the platform, on whatever channel the two of you agree.
No referral feeWhen a practice engages a support professional, they contract directly. DutyPath is not a party to that agreement and takes no cut of it.
No unscreened listingsA record does not appear in the directory until screening has completed. See verification.

What the ratings actually measure

Ratings describe what someone was like to work with. They are not a judgement of clinical care, and they are not open to the public to write.

Veteran Experience

Rated by veterans who were actually seen by that practice, on the parts of the visit a veteran can fairly speak to.

  • How long it took to be offered an appointment
  • Whether the practice knew how Community Care works
  • Whether the paperwork side was handled for them or left to them
  • Whether they were treated as a veteran rather than a referral number

Not a clinical rating. Nothing here rates diagnosis, treatment or outcome, and no clinical detail is collected or shown. [CONFIRM: how a veteran's visit is confirmed before a rating is accepted]

Support professionals

Engagement ratings

Rated by the practices that engaged them, on the four things that decide whether a file stays current.

  • Accuracy — whether submissions went in right the first time
  • Turnaround — whether renewals were worked ahead of the window
  • Payer knowledge — whether the federal programs were actually understood
  • Communication — whether the practice knew where its file stood

Verified engagements only. A rating can only be left by a practice that recorded an engagement with that member. [DECIDE: whether a rating can be left anonymously, and the dispute route for a contested one]

Free account

Join through the hub for your side. An account costs nothing and gives you the run of the platform.

Apply

Complete the membership application: identity, qualifications, the services or roles you carry, and attestations.

Screening

Background screening runs through Checkr. Nothing goes live until it comes back and is reviewed.

Record published

Your record appears in the directory with its verification status and the date it was last checked.

Questions about the directory

Can I see the directory before I join?

[DECIDE: whether the directory is browsable signed-out, or requires a free account first] This is a real product decision rather than an oversight: an open directory is easier to trust and easier to scrape.

How current is a verification status?

Every record carries the date its status was last confirmed, so you are reading a date rather than a badge. Verification is not permanent — licences and screening both expire, and a record whose checks have lapsed does not keep showing as verified.

Who decides what appears in my record?

You do, within a fixed set of fields. You cannot add fields, reorder them or emphasise them, because a directory where records can be styled differently is a directory where the loudest listing wins.

Can I remove my record?

Yes, at any time, from your dashboard. Removing a record removes it from the directory and from search; ratings left against it are removed with it rather than kept on file.

Does DutyPath vouch for anyone in the directory?

No. Verification means specific things were checked on a specific date, and the record says which. It is not a recommendation, an endorsement or a guarantee of anyone's work, and the engagement you agree is between you and them.
