Why this exists

When the file lapses, the veteran waits.

A veteran gets referred into the community because the VA cannot see them in time. That referral only lands if the practice's providers are credentialed and enrolled — and almost nobody is trained to keep them that way. DutyPath trains that person, sells the software the work is done in, and offers the practice's federal payer billing and patient collections as a service of its own.

Who is on the file?

One practice, twelve months, nobody on the dates.

Three clinicians, three state boards, and two workstreams that never line up: credentialing proves they are safe to see patients, enrollment registers them so the visit pays. Read the calendar with a trained support professional on the file and without one.

One person on the fileA DutyPath support professional owns the dates.

“Nothing above required a bad doctor, a bad practice or a bad decision. It required a date nobody owned.”

In a state nobody was watching, on a workstream nobody was assigned to. That is the whole failure.

The referral goes somewhere else, the veteran waits longer, and three fully licensed clinicians sit in an office that can no longer be sent one.

It is also a fixable failure, and fixing it does not take a clinician. It takes one trained person who knows what expires, in which state, on whose calendar, and who files ahead of the window every time. That is the person we train, equip and list.

The shortage

Not doctors willing to see veterans.

The desk that keeps those doctors credentialed and enrolled — and, as a separate service, paid.

Demos

Try the desk before you take a seat at it.

Two demonstrations of the work itself, running on invented practices and invented dates. Each plays through a walkthrough when you reach it, then hands over so you can drive it yourself — add a client, choose the payer, open the file and move it along.

Add a client, pick the payer, watch the file change.

Every provider client on one screen. Add a practice, choose the payers it is being enrolled with, and the record reshapes itself around each programme: the documents it asks for, the clock it runs on and the desk the claim goes to are the payer’s, not a generic form. Open any client to work the file and move it on a stage.

Covering the three federal payer programmes DutyPath works in — VA Community Care, TRICARE and CHAMPVA.

Same visit, different payer, a different answer on who owes.

The billing side of the same desk. Enter a visit and choose the programme, and the ledger recomputes: deductible and cost share for a CHAMPVA beneficiary, the remit amount for a TRICARE patient, and nothing at all for a Veteran — because a practice never bills a Veteran for community care, and the software refuses rather than reminds.

Covering the three federal payer programmes DutyPath works in — VA Community Care, TRICARE and CHAMPVA.

Demonstrations, not the product. Both run on invented practices, patients, charges and dates, and nothing entered into either leaves your browser. The products themselves are in build; the payer routing shown follows published programme structure and is not for operational use.

Services

What DutyPath does for a practice.

Training that teaches the federal payer programs specifically, software that holds the work, and the billing, reference and technical services a practice needs to stay credentialed, enrolled, paid and findable. DutyPath never bills a veteran, never touches patient money, and never performs collections itself — the practice's own DCSP does, at its own desk.

01

The Workflow

One file per provider, every state board, both workstreams in the same record. The renewal calendar is derived from the file itself instead of a spreadsheet somebody has to remember to open. Built for members carrying several practices at once; the federal payer reference library is in every tier.

02

Federal Payer Billing & Collection Services

835 remits posted, denials routed by reason code, misroutes caught before the payer says so, underpayments checked against the fee schedule, and patient statements only after the payer adjudicates. A service of its own, beside Workflow — performed by your DCSP on the practice's own processor account. Never a bill to a veteran.

How billing works

  • Worked by your DCSP
  • Bills sent to veterans: 0 — enforced in the software, the server and the database

03

Professional Training Program

For provider staff already at the front desk and in the back office: intake, eligibility, referral handling, authorization windows, what to say to a veteran about billing. Delivered in your Workflow, on your own files, with a certificate of completion per staff member.

Credentialing, enrollment and billing worked on screen, not talked about in the abstract: the file, the portal, the denial and the fix, recorded as they happen, alongside the clinical side of what practices are actually treating. Short episodes, one problem each. A commercial channel that carries paid advertising; advertisers buy placements and nothing else.
