Verification

An account is not a verified record.

Anyone can open a DutyPath account in a minute, and that is deliberate — you should be able to look around before you commit anything. But an account puts nothing in the directory and tells nobody anything about you.

A verified record is the other thing entirely. It says specific claims were checked, by whom, and on what date. This page is the whole of that process, on both sides, with nothing left implied.

The difference, plainly

Free accountCosts nothing. Lets you read the hub, the role catalogue, pricing and the Academy. Nothing about you is checked and nothing about you is published.

ApplicationYou submit identity, qualifications and attestations. Still nothing published — this is the point at which claims start being checked.

ScreeningA background check runs through Checkr and comes back to a person, who reads it and decides. Two to five days is typical.

Verified recordYour record appears in the directory, carrying its status and the date each check was last confirmed.

Nothing is published before screening completes. There is no provisional listing, no pending state visible to anybody else, and no way to appear in the directory while a check is outstanding.

A declined check blocks the listing, not the learning. If screening comes back declined, the directory listing does not go live. Academy access is unaffected — a course is not a credential and does not need a background check to be worth taking.

1 · IdentityWho you are, and how DutyPath reaches you. One named human per membership — a support professional is one person, not a firm.

2 · QualificationsEducation, certifications, and any DutyPath certificate of completion. Where a credential is issued by an external body, it is checked against that body rather than an uploaded certificate.

3 · ScreeningBackground screening through Checkr, disclosed at the start of the application rather than sprung at the end.

4 · ServicesYour subspecialty, the roles inside it you carry, the federal programs you have worked against, and the states you cover.

5 · AttestationsYou attest to your submissions and to the terms of the listing, including that you contract with practices directly.

6 · ReviewA person reviews the returned report and approves or declines, with a reason in the email either way.

7 · ListedYour record publishes to the directory and your dashboard opens, with Academy progress and Workspace activity in the same place.

What screening covers

Screening runs through Checkr, an accredited consumer reporting agency. DutyPath does not perform the check, does not decide the scope on a whim, and does not hold the underlying report.

Who runs itCheckr. You receive their email, complete it on their system, and your consent is given to them under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

TimingTwo to five days is typical once you complete your part. Nothing publishes while it is outstanding.

If something is foundA reviewer reads the detail rather than a pass or fail flag. You are told the outcome and, where the check was declined, the reason it was declined.

What verification does not mean

This is the part most directories leave vague, so it is worth being exact about.

Not an endorsementDutyPath does not recommend, rank or vouch for anyone in the directory. Verification records what was checked, not how good someone is.

Not a licenceA DutyPath certificate of completion is a learning record. It is not a licence, a government certification or accredited continuing education, and it does not become one by appearing on a verified record.

Not employmentDutyPath is not an employer, a staffing agency or a placement service. A verified member engaged by a practice contracts with that practice directly, as an independent contractor.

Not permanentLicences and screening expire. A record whose checks have lapsed stops showing as verified until they are brought current.

Not a federal statusDutyPath LLC is a private company, not affiliated with or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Nothing on a record is conferred by the VA.
