Professional Training Program

For the people already doing the job — the front desk, the referral coordinator, the office manager. Trained on your files, in your Workflow, on the federal payer rules nobody trained them on.

01

What it covers

The program follows a patient through your practice. Intake: which program pays, what the referral is, why the authorization number has to be on the file before the visit. Eligibility and the authorization window. What a precertification ID is and what happens on the date it is missing. What to say when a veteran asks about a bill — and why the answer is never a bill.

  • VA community care: the referral is the authorization; Optum Serve and TriWest by region; VA direct for agreements and emergency care.
  • TRICARE East and West, CHAMPVA, and how each differs from VA community care.
  • Intake that sets the processor once, correctly.
  • Timely filing, reconsideration and corrected-claim clocks — who watches them and where.
  • The statement and collections sequence the practice has agreed to, so every desk says the same thing.

02

How it is delivered

Live sessions inside your Workflow, on de-identified copies of your own files, followed by short self-paced modules and a check for each staff member. Each person receives a DutyPath certificate of completion; the practice receives the completion record for its compliance file.

What the practice gets

  • Taught in the software the work is done in.
  • Your files, not generic examples.
  • A certificate of completion per staff member.
  • Refreshers when a payer rule changes.

DutyPath is software. Billing and collections work is performed by DCSP members for the practices they serve; DutyPath never bills a veteran, never holds patient money and never performs collections itself. The Professional Training Program issues a certificate of completion; it is not a credential.
